I am looking to create a clean Millmage tool library that includes all the various end mills that Ryan offers in the shop so users can just import the tool library and have everything ready to go.
In order to build that library, I’m first trying to cross reference all the end mills in the store back to their Kyocera part numbers so we can use the best technical data from Kyocera when building the library.
I discussed it with Ryan and he suggested I create a thread here to get any info that others might have since he is still traveling.
I expect some of you might have some variance of the end mills already created in a Millmage tool library that would be useful if you are willing to contribute.
I will need some help from you all for getting feeds and speeds values for each end mill for some different substrates - ideally, we want to create ‘safe’ versions in the library for users to have a starting point and they can adjust/tweak as they see fit.
There was a project floating around that could do library format conversions - I’m trying to track it down as it might be useful to kickstart a fuller library.
I’ve been scooping up various end mills here and there from different brands to experiment and document details for the tool library as well as overall performance.
I am admittedly very much a noob, but I’ll do my best.
