Makita RT0700CX4 collet adapter

Hi, I have FINALLY completed my MPCNC (been on the back burner for the best part of a year now!) and have successfully confirmed that my build is square and is giving correct dimensions. I have also tried using it as a plotter as suggested and have had great success (see spiderman pic attached).

Now I want to try cutting on my machine so I have bought my router (Makita RT0700CX4 from Screwfix) and a set of five 3mm single flute end mills. However the issue I am having is that the router comes with a 1/4" collet. Is anyone else using this router and if so, did you purchase a new collet or an adapter? Would a 1/8" collet work fine with 3mm end mills? Does anyone have a link to a collet or adapter that would work for me? (preferably in the UK)

Okay, I have found the following two items:

Has anyone used either of these? Which one should I go for?

The first one should be a better item, adapters can be less accurate.

That’s great, thanks. I did wonder as much, I suppose it makes sense!
