Makita router thermal management

I’ve been getting good results on speed 3 with ASA mounts, good dust collection and a sharp tool

I wonder if this Vevor clone might be any good

to be honest I’m not sure what would make one batch of these air cooled routers run hotter than others other than fan geometry or some kind of different power handling that’s shedding more to heat?

I would suspect the bearings.

That’s where a lot of the loss is likely to be going.
