So, you may or may not have seen me saying I have to get my project done, yada, yada.
Well Today was the day to START. I am half way done. (maybe more) It is always insane how many ways you can do something. I have been learning FREECAD, and might be o.k. with it, but I went to Inkscape, used BOXES to make my drawing (because I am lazy) then went to Estlcam and used the Part Cut with manual detection! Too Easy. Then the Lr4 being so Accurate, it is insane.
I need to make more things!!!
BUTTTT, I do not like the movement in Fluidnc. Trying to find the corner with the movement really bothers me (Even with the Kindle out there!)
I really did not want to try UGS or try to find a usb cable long enough to make sure I did not have problems tonight!. So I am making do.
After this, I have 3 paths I am considering.
-
Do i Keep FLUIDNC and use UGS and usb
-
I think i am ready to try grblhal. (I would still need/want the usb cable), but I think Gsender/Grblhal will work better.
-
make an xyz probe to find my corner for me! (maybe I should just do this and be done)
I have the tinybee, so there is already a config out there. I studied it, I understand how they did it. They programmed things that I really do not need.
For the project, I am making a Customized Beverage Dispenser,
I need to figure out if I will vcarve or laser their name and 2025 on the base.
Pictures will come soon, but I have to be careful so they do not see it before the wedding in September!!! Feeling really good about this one. it is going very well!
