Machined Air for first test, I am not sure why I missed

So while doing the standard crown test, it ran nicely, but missed the wood . I cut and pasted the standard header G-code

here is the header I have probably missed something

Are you using a probe for z?

Yes, the standard V1E touch plate. .5mm is set as the plate thickness

I ran the code again, the positions read right on the screen, but I could not get closer to the wood and not hit if I tried

Can you post the file? The original “crown” gcode starts with “G92 X0 Y0 Z0” which sets the current position to zero, and will cancel out any probing or offsets that you had set prior. Could that be it?

I generated my own in Etslcam, I will try the sample file

Sample code worked and looking closer at the test board I did make light contact on part of the cut, maybe I probed a high spot, or messed up the holding the plate down.

I am only going down 1mm and I am cutting plywood
