LR4 troubles

I am having an issue with my LR4. When I try jogging only one of the Y motors work. Y min just makes a single clicking sound and then doesn’t move at all. The sound is also made just once then for any further attempts at jogging there is no response at all. I plugged it into the port for X-axis and tried moving it but it was the same result. Is the motor faulty? or some configuration issue? All of the others are working fine.

Also, I can’t get Z homing to work, it keeps giving me an error saying “Pull off failed to clear the switch. Adjust in settings” or something like that even though the end stops are clear.

For your Y motor check your wiring. Highly doubt its a bad motor, but bad wiring can cause this issue for sure.

For your Z homing, check your endstop connections. Which control board are you using? If using the jackpot the Green LED on the board should be on when the switch is NOT activated.

As @MakerJim said recently (somewhere on here) the motors themselves practically never are the issue, and most often the issue is a wire connection fault, or some settings issue. This does sound like a wiring issue. If you use “process of elimination” you would swap a known good wiring extension with the suspect motor. Since the wiring in question “followed” with you when you switched and plugged it into the port for X-axis and tried moving it but it was the same result, then the possibility of bad wiring has not been eliminated from consideration. Usually wiring issues happen at connections, couplings, joining points, attachment to board, etc.
