LR4 “Stubby”

This will probably be the route i go as well. Or something very similar in size. Its awesome to know if you ever jeed more. You can always upsize and cost is pretty minimal.

Sometimes I use the CNC to cut depron sheets

Never in my life have I ever flown, let alone cut foam…. Still old school balsa, silk and dope  Looks tempting however.

I’m working on enclosure design, a lot of details still needed…

I’m imagining a vending machine, where it manufactures your “prize” and it drops out of the slot on the left, with the speaker above playing a happy tune. Needs a coin slot!

That looks great! Glad to see another LowRider going in an enclosure.

Interesting

I use my x1c for things like this…

Curious if you have any updates on the smaller LR4 build? I’m looking to downsize mine because I never use the full cutting area and might as well gain some rigidity. Also, how is the enclosure?

I’m having really busy weeks and I don’t have time to work on cncs, maybe next week I’ll continue the stubby lr4 build and post some updates!

I am almost done building my lr4 and was thinking earlier today that it would be pretty cool to have a smaller more rigid one to cut harder more precise and intricate parts. Then i stumbled on this build not even looking for it. Nice work so far. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
