I had the spacing tight at first and feedback indicated that it looked too tight. So I opened it up a little bit. I could dig out the zip file with the first batch and provide it too!
Just for speed, I tapped on the generic basic red and black options provided in the vector illustration program. Color matching is hard. The shade of red that I see when I look at the V1 logo on my device/screen may not be the same shade that Ryan sees on his or you see on yours. If we find out from Ryan a certain RGB value, or a certain CMYK value, then I can definitely use that. As someone noted, these are most likely going to be either laser engraved or cut from vinyl or pocketed with a bit.
Spacing is the difference.
Whenever the first feedback came in that things looked too tight, I thought then about āmargin of errorā with CNC cutting and the fact that some are probably gonna have to use a small bit in a small space to CNC pocket with, and that played a role in agreeing with that feedback, and opening it up a little bit.
It was just a comment to say why I think it looked different, not really to say whether it should be.
However, for me, if I were going to put something like this on one of my machines, I would want it to be consistent with the overall branding of V1.
Marketing for a company is very important, so from my view, if this were to be an āofficialā set, I would much prefer they fit with the same look/feel/branding of everywhere else on the site.
For a laser, the tighter spacing should be fine.
For CNC CAM, I guess that depends on the scale, but if the scale is so small that the spacing is going to matter, then I would guess they are going to be using a small V bit like the V1 45Āŗ bits or an even smaller angle, and that probably makes it a non-issue as well
@RockinRiley and @Michael_Melancon
Since some prefer the previous (initial) version with the tighter spacing (matching the actual V1 logo more closely), I am providing those as well ā see original post at the top, which has both individual SVGās and then a group zip at the bottom. Iāll call the original v1 and the more spaced out one v2.
Oh, I am sorry, i have no feelings, i was just noticing a difference.
I apologize.
No problem at all. Iām just trying to provide a service as a way to try to give back.
SOT, does anyone have an SVG of Ryanās logo?
My belts are apparently floating in USPS limboā¦par for courseā¦ my custom strut plates took way longer to get to NJ tooā¦ I guess Iām not supposed to finish this buildā¦SO, i guess Iāll put some branding on the sides of my Y-Rail boxesā¦
Side note: I really wish Milwaukee made a corded trim router, then my color scheme would have matched V1Eāsā¦alas, the Kobalt router has made me blueā¦
Happy Sunday!
wellā¦ normally you click the logo on that page a zip file of the full set would download, but itās not working for meā¦
Ok, the DXF set link in there works and brings you to the Github
The SVG is in there with the DXF
TY!.. Is there any issue @vicious1, to me using it on the side of my Y-rail boxes?
Nah, we are all using the Logo and promote the machines. Plaster your workshop with it, order 100 stickers. Put them everywhere.
Whoa that is an old link, whoops. I will bookmark this for Monday. That page Could use a little love as well.
PLease do! Have fun with them, do anything but sell them.
