LR4 Build Question - First build

For those that have built one of these before:
I am putting together the ZY min side, and the parts that house the bearings are confusing me.

It seems they are designed so that the nut sits flush in the variable rotation slot, with the screw in the fixed rotation slot. The issue is, I can’t fit the screw through the hole without screwing it into the part, which means I can’t get it into it’s fixed rotation hole without forcing it. Installing it reverse direction means the nut sticks out proud of the part. Is that an issue? Should I force the screw through? Should I just install them reverse and let the nut hang out? (Heh.)

Any advice is appreciated!

Yeah, I’m following that pretty religiously, which is the problem - I can’t fit the screw in as shown on the left part there.

Measure your parts, is your printer over-extruding? If so, need to fix that or you will have many issues with the parts.

The bolts fit the parts when the parts are dimensionally accurate prints.

I usually just hammer the bolts in. As soon as the head is seated you can screw on the nut from the other side.

So the nut sticking out is an issue then?

The nut should not stick out, you screw it down. A piece of the screw is going to stick out though, but only a few mm.
