LR3 Y-Axis Losing Square During Job

Hi all,

Im running into an issue with my LR3, I have squared the machine corner to corner like in the build guide and when I run the job to make marks in the corners its perfect. The issue I run into is when I go to make a grid on my table to align parts, after the machine does the outer outline of the cutting area it seems to lose the square on the y-axis. I have attached some photos to better show the issue. I used Estlcam to create the toolpath and verified in repetier host that is should be doing the correct thing.

The grid is 4in Squares on a 37x47 rectangle. After the job finishes the pen is not in the original starting position both x and y, the y axis is much further off than the x axis after completion.

This is the board I am using purchased from the v1 shop

The motors and wiring were salvaged from my old MPCNC build from many years ago.
Here is a link to the motors https://www.automationtechnologiesinc.com/products-page/tinyg-kit/nema17-stepper-motor-3

This is the correct offset after homing

These are after the job completed, the pen is off of the starting position

This is after the job completed, the y-axis is pretty far off of the home/starting position

I found the issue, here is my PSA to always check the simple things. The right side y axis motor was completely missing both grub screws, how it managed to function as well as it did is beyond me.

how long did it take you to loctite them all? I am just about to find out probably the same problem lol!!

It does not take long, the steppers have two each, the leadscrew adds another two.

I did both Y steppers with loctite. Didnt take long for sure. however, my squareness issue, I believe, is directly related to my belt tension being too loose. I tightened both up reasonably tight and I have had 0 problems since!!
