LR3 license re. Makita mount — and related Printables.com remix issue

@vicious1

Hey Ryan, I’m being told by Printables.com that no suitable license can be found, so I am not permitted to publish a remix of the LR3 Makita mount.

Did you happen to change your license on the “Makita 700 Series Mount and removable dust shoe for the LowRider 3 CNC”?

It is currently showing as “Creative Commons — Attribution — Share Alike”

I had previously made multiple remixes of it, and in my effort to make them all have the same license as the original, I had set them to “non-commercial.”

Now, any time I try to edit any of the remixes, I’m told by Printables the only license allowable is “Creative Commons — Attribution — Share Alike” — and because two remix branches exist between your original and my three layers of remixes, the most recent layer has a branching license tree that tries to mix both “share alike” and “non commercial” and it tells me no license exists that meets the conditions.

Should I just edit the prior remixes and set all my remixes to “Share Alike”?

Yes. I do not have a non-commercial restriction on the mounts themselves.

Got it! Thanks!
