LowRider Z sides ~8 mm out after homing – mechanical sync issue? Need guidance

Pipe is 25.3 OD according to my callipers

Thanks for the pic and dia info.

Please share pic that helps us guess approx clearance between bottom of pipe and the table. Am trying to understand if Y clips are too thick (to help make cleaning easier, but are skewing your Z).

Great, they look like stock Y Clips (Rail block 25p4) to me.

Unrelated, but spoil board’s lifting a bit.

Guessing attention should be looking at other components that make up the overall assembly height, especially where exactly the end-stop lever arms engage the micro switches, and end stop mounts…

That right there looks like it could be a lot of the bad measurement. Whatever isn’t because of the ball on one endstop and not on the other.

It appears to me that the two switches are different: Xmin has a roller and Xmax has a leaf lever.

Yeah thats just at the other end that never gets used so wasnt too worried about it. Have re-screwed tho and she’s tight now

Ok well good deal then. Was hoping we had found your smoking gun. I’m betting the miss matched endstops are throwing it off more than you think. We will see what you get when you get that one swapped out.

Until then you can use the pull offs to get it useable. Your not down that’s for sure

I have a 10 pack of switches on order from Amazon. The ones in the V1 documentation - but in the meantime have just been down to local electronics store and purchased 2 x identical switches. They just have a straight lever but should be ok. Retesting gives me -42.395 and -45.635. Is this acceptable? I can adjust the switch holders to make it better as now they are in identical position

Adjust them to see if you can get it within 1-2mm then do the rest in the firmware

When I pull the low side X0 one up and then rehome the motor just keeps spinning and doesn’t hit the switch. What does this mean?

You’ve got it a little too high then. The Z stub it hitting at the top of the YZ plate. Going to have to back down just a smidge on that one and lower the other side down some.
