I’ve pretty much got the gantry built and I noticed that the tabs on the yz plates just miss the z stop switch tabs. Did I do something wrong when seating the switches or do I need to shim them a bit so they stick out farther? It happens on both sides.
Seems like the levers on the switches are too short. Weird.
Are the switches installed backwards??
Nevermind I see it better now. Looks like @Tokoloshe is correct the arms on those switches are too short. Can you put up a link to the switches you used? Looks like they are smaller than the ones we normally use. Did both screw holes line up on the switch. Not sure if that’s a standard spacing or not for the different sizes
Yeah I’m not sure why the limit switches have shorter arms. The mounting holes lined up perfectly with the 3D printed parts so I didn’t think much about it until I got farther along in the assembly process.
I think I’m going to add a little 3D printed tab that will slide onto the arm of the YZ plate and push the limit switch. I shouldn’t lose too much height if I make it small enough.
