Hello everyone,
my name is Beppe and yesterday I started my adventure, on the DIY of this fantastic CNC.
I will preface that I am new to the CNC world, but I am an Engineer with a passion for carpentry (I love the smell of wood) as well as other outdoor passions.
I started yesterday printing the Core on my Bambu Lab A1 30% Infill and PETG-CF Black filament. Estimated time 21 hours
Hi Beppe, welcome.
I’m Italian too and I’ve been following the V1 forum for a long time.
Over the years I’ve built a MPCNC and a LR3 that are still in operation.
I’m sure that the LR4 will be a success, then with all the help from this wonderful group you’ll become even more passionate.
Have a nice day and good work
Welcome Beppe.
I built my machine with the Bambu A1 also. Printer did a fantastic making the parts. I also did not come with a CnC background however the journey has been a very enjoyable one. This form is wonderful resource.
I had them made by the machine tool department in the company where I work.
When I finish the lowrider I will send a donation to Ryan.
Unfortunately, from Italy/Europe, the shipping costs are inhumane.
Yes - same for me here in the UK. I’d have been much better off getting the kit from Ryan, sourcing my own parts has been a pain (though that’s mostly because of my preference for salvage…). Looking forward to the “international shipping partner” ! (I may already have a machine, but I’m trying to convince some friends they need them too… )
Hi guys from northern italy,
after days between rain and sun spent fixing my vegetable garden, now I have finished transplanting the strawberries, now I resume assembly.
Can you not move the Ymax belt holder towards the rail? It looks like the current position will pull the belt “outwards” which can’t be good? I’m still not sure what the relative placement of the belt holders “should be”. I probably missed something
Sorry everyone and I take a bow,
I just saw the youtube video of @francosmith9, I am ashamed of myself…
I had to move the tube stand further forward.
Might want to go back to working in the garden and drink less prosecco.
