downloaded the v2 wooden plates, opened them in draftsite and noticed that the model is in mm. does any one have a copy of it in inches, as scaling it to print in inches doesn’t work.

If you open the file in mm you should be able to do whatever you want with it. If that isn’t working the last FAQ on the FAQ page might help.
