Back before the version 3 came out, which has end stops baked into the design, several makers figured out ways to install end stops on version 2 of the LowRider. End stops are nice on a LowRider because they not only help with positioning for repeatability, but also with auto squaring.

Test crown!!! 100%. Watch it work. Get it dirty.

Do you want to use it or do you like fiddling with it?? It goes 50/50 around here.

You can do a ton of work just by butting it up against your hard stops, without using electrical endstops. I used mine that way until I made a V3. A large machine like this is pretty easy to get super close to square because of how wide it is. The square test procedure is the same with endstops or without, the solution without them is just shim whichever end with some tape or move your hardstop a bit.

Than do a bunch of test cuts and some fun stuff.

If you really want end stops wait until you actually need them ( I never did). At that point you can cut out some V3 parts, or print holders and mount them up. Kinda depends on how much you use it, and what you use it for.
