NOW!!! not not… Argh…
Plates seem to sell like hot cakes, ordered some more, but they will only arrive on the 12th of December.
Got mine within 1 day - just perfect
Nice, thanks for the feedback!
Delivery via Einschreiben is insanely fast in Germany it seems.
Preorders for the next batch of plates is open, I just got the shipping notification of the producer, will be at my place on the 9th or 10th. ![]()
Plates are back in stock. ![]()
Since the demand is there, I ordered new ones again, but the producer is on holidays between the years, so they will only arrive here on the 21st of January.
I might try to find another producer, but I can’t promise anything. There are still 12 sets in stock though.
Time to see how that new machine does with Aluminum ![]()
Not really feasible, but I need to cut another tram plate… Think it’s going to have to wait till the Christmas break though, I have some more projects I need to do. ![]()
Manufacturer got back to me today, they didn’t ship it out before Christmas, but the plates are going into the post today. Then I need to drill the holes again (yeah, that manufacturer…). But they are pretty nice.
Probably (hopefully) going to have plates ready for sale by the end of the week.
I do a lot of inventory and ordering on Mondays, it is nice to have a manufacturer with good communication like that. I have a pallet or two showing up sometime soon, but no tracking number nothing. Vendor said several weeks ago it is due today, but no one has scheduled a drop off, so I am stuck here until a truck shows up, could be several days.
Stuff like that sucks. ![]()
Stop playing on the forum and get to work!!

Drilled the plates, took me around 30 minutes including the fixture:
In a week or two I am also going to have a limited stock of linear rails and screw kits (10 sets each).
The screws will come packed by type in a box for 35€ (that’s less than I paid when sourcing mine a few years back), linear rails will probably be 55-60€ from a reputable Chinese manufacturer and not some Amazon junk. ![]()
Depending on how well they work I might stock them permanently or until a better solution has been found.
Now also available: screw kits. ![]()
I’d appreciate any feedback, it’s a test. Are they too cheap? Too expensive? What is it worth to you not having to sort through a shop’s screws just to find out they don’t have all of them?
Please let me know. ![]()
They look great!
I also have a limited supply of linear rails now:
I am also working on making PayPal available, I think a lot of customers are thrown off by the direct transfer option only.
Since I can’t legally take extra transaction fees in the EU for PayPal transactions, I upped the prices by 4%. Those 4% get deducted if you pay via direct transfer, so basically nothing changes for people who can do it like that, people who want to use PayPal need to pay the “new” price.
