LowRider 4 Printed Parts and XZ plates in the EU

Selling like hot cakes. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

To be fair, three of those had been waiting for them already.

I also now ordered boxes to ship the next ones in.

100 boxes. Also great for shipping 3D printed stuff. :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh you are getting deep into my daily life now! I have two whole shelves just for bundles of boxes!

That’s what I wanted to circumvent initially, if you remember our talks about a year ago…

But it’s kind of fun as long as it doesn’t take much more of my time. :face_savoring_food:

27 posts were split to a new topic: Slicer skip?

Man, this is getting annoying with the plates… I sent one with priority, tracked, to
Sweden, now it’s coming back. Two others were send to a Packstation with the wrong codes, partly my fault, partly the posts for not telling you it’s not possible when booking the service…
If they can’t find them, that’s 80€ down the drain plus the repeat cost of sending it to Sweden again…
@vicious1 I now understand your shipping woes. But using DHL tracked is ~15€, that’s just too much, but maybe not avoidable for plates to the EU…

SHIPPING SUUUUCKS.

Of all the things that have been improved with the internet and apps and all that stuff. Shipping is ripe for change. How in hell do they even lose a box, there are barcodes on everything. They scan them at every turn.

Shipping is just to complicated for a new player to join the game, but when someone does, they are going to be trillionaires.

The amount of times someone emails me pissed off asking for their package, 99% of the time it is sitting in their customs and they never got contacted, then it gets sent back. When it arrives the barcode with all the info is still perfect and the contact info is legible. The amount of times they simple did not try is irritating.

sore subject for sure. holiday season is coming…it gets way way way worse.

DHL always arrives on time, but it’s 15€ to Sweden if I want it tracked and insured. Uninsured and untracked is 7€, not going to do that though…

Tracked and insured Post is 7€, but it didn’t work…

Another one to Austria hasn’t even been processed it seems and I put it into the postbox four days ago. Post is cancer, DHL is great but too expensive for the plates if you want tracking. It’s the same cost for the plates as for the whole printed parts kit including the plates… :expressionless_face:

Are there other places that you can send it to the same way much cheaper, or are expectations just too high?

For giggles, I looked to see what it would cost to send a 3kg 30x30x4cm package to my next door neighbour via Canada Post.

Regular Parcel: $17 + 13% tax. / 12€ tax included (2 days)
Xpresspost: $20 + 13% tax / 14 € tax included (1 day, insurance for $100 included)
Priority: $36 + 13% tax / 25 € tax included (1 day, insurance for $100 included)

All options would require that I drive to town to drop it off, and that they’d have to drive 5km to their mailbox to pickup a parcel notice and then another 5km to town to pick it up at a grocery store that probably wouldn’t have it for at least an additional day.

Well, maybe not required to drive, we could walk.

Some perspective… maybe things aren’t so bad.

Yeah, you are right, but the whole idea is to make the plates easily accessible for the best possible price. The tracked letter for 7€ should have been the real deal… Sweden post dropped the ball on this one.
And tracked DHL is just really expensive because there is no medium tracked option… :frowning:

I love the stories of the sillicon valley companies that try to automate replacing the trucking industry. They try to come in like Uber and just abuse the drivers or set up a rigid system and it completely fails. Trucking is driven by a lot of people making individual decisions everyday and if you piss them off, they ghost you.

Some trucking systems are pretty regular. But a lot of that stuff is all phone calls and negotiations.

Got two red/black printed parts sets with 32mm in stock.

Printing different braces and Y clips is quick if you need another size. :slightly_smiling_face:

40 more rolls of filament… Das Filament is selling off their 800g spools.

So you’re the reason half the colors are gone!

Black at least. But the 1kg spools are as cheap at the moment. :slightly_smiling_face:

Plates are sold out at the moment. More are in production but won’t be here until the 19th. :frowning:
If you are interested in getting informed about new plates, just stick around here, I will post as soon as they have arrived.
