I made a couple of letters, for an amateur musical Shrek.
I made it like Bitluni’s ledscreen. Made the letters on my lowrider-3, put some plastic edge around it with hotglue, put Ws2811 leds in the holes, glued some ping-pong balls on it and connected a esp8266 D1 mini to drive the leds. Used a powerbank to get power to it. I just have to connect a wire for powerinjection, as the last letters are quite a bit dimmer then the rest of them.
Just running an -of the shelf- effect.
