Beautiful!
Very nice!
Very nice work. There are some really small details in there.
Thanks! I have to admit, I did cheat on cutting out the cardinal, that was cut with my laser cutter. Everything thing else was cut on the MPCNC with a 1.5 mm endmill.
Fair game, if you have the tools use them, if the mpcnc played a part, I feel good about it.
Nice! Now I want to do something like this, except I’ll probably cut the whole thing with the laser and I want to replace the deer with Moder, the monster from the movie The Ritual. Thanks for the cool idea!
I’ve never seen the move, or heard about “Moder,” so I did a search. This is one of the images, and you are right that it would make a cool layered work…and not that hard to do.
Yup. This is the image I will probably trace to get the monster. It’s the other pieces - the trees - that will take a little work. https://cdnb.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/017/410/757/large/jo-reynolds-aka-kubaryi-theritual.jpg?1555881476
For that, you could print, then make this: https://www.instructables.com/Comparatron-an-Affordable-Digital-Optical-Comparat/
I need a cheap usb microscope so I can try it
Might build that sometime just for the fun of it!
But for this project, tracing a picture in lightburn or inkscape will do fine.
That would be awesome!
