My LR4 has served me well so far, flawless & lots of great cuts!
But today is the day that it overran an end stop switch on the y-axis. This ended up in a bent end stop arm and the switch needs to be replaced. I remember others had overrun their end stops as well. Before replacing the switch I wanted to ask whether there is any updated end stop design to consider? I can imagine that putting a nut behind the screwhead would reduce the risk of catching an endstop arm.

There were some who tried different designs with sensors, but there’s never been a finished prototype afaik. So you gotta stick to exchanging the endstop or just bending the lever back. 
I added these after bending one of my endstop arms. They go on behind the screw on each side. I’ve never had it over run the screws since adding them. I think Aza made them.

Usually, we can straighten the spring metal swing arms if they get bent.
And, usually, we can insert popped metal swing arms back into the plastic housing, by hand or using some needle nose pliers (and very little force).
If the swing arms popped off and disappeared into the garage floor ether, as they often do, then you’re SOL. So, it’s helpful to order/have a few extra microswitch end-stops on hand, especially if you’re frequently putting the machine away, and/or using the bench for other non CNC tasks.
Vaguely recall someone had a neat solution for this common problem?
