Lasering and carving on my MPCNC

I used my MPCNC and my Kobalt router to carve this design into a charcuterie board that I made a while ago.

I switched to my laser to make this California Valley Quail.

Very nice!

Did you make the cutting board itself too? The engraving looks amazing!

Thank you!

Yes I did. My daughter’s neighbor has a sawmill and some black walnut trees he is cutting into lumber. He gave some of his scrap pieces. I made this board and a salt and pepper mill holder out of some of it.

Cool!

I just did this ‘plaque’ (I guess?) yesterday on my MPCNC. It’s on an oak cabinet door. We have this really cool repurpose/art store near here that sells cabinet doors for a $1 a piece. I grabbed all the hardwood ones they had. The rest were engineered lumber.

I mixed up some 2 part epoxt and filled the letters and ornaments when I was finished.

I really dig your cam’d part holders! That’s a terrific idea!

I am going to add some epoxy also. Your repurposed oak doors look great.

Awesome!
