Laser power control

I have had my laser running great on my Rambo board for sometime now. Tried to add a button to octopi to turn on at 1% for alignment however it keeps coming on at full power. I think I am reading this article wrong. Any help hold be appreciated!

Code I am using:
M3 0010

Should it be
M3 S2.5 ?

Yes. You need the ‘S’, and the range is 0 to 255.
