i have been using my mpcnc for a few months now and now looking into laser engraving too. can some one tell me the step by step guide on doing this for my skr pro 1.2.
Do i have to change any firmware?
whats the best laser to get?
will i need to use a different software to create the cad & cam files ?

I initially bought a Creality 5W laser on Amazon. It was inexpensive and allowed me to learn how to use the laser. After having it for a few months I bought a 20W Laser Tree so I could cut thicker material.
After I added a 5W laser to my mpcnc, I started using Lightburn. They allow you to try it out for 30 days and it’s only $60 to buy. I’m very happy with it and I can’t wait for them to release their CNC software.
