hi everyone, I have to make some jobs on xps foam, they will be bas-relief, so 3d. the foam will be 4cm thick, the panel is 240 x 120cm or less. I have done some research and looks like I have to buy the lowrider v3 or v4 cnc kit. I cannot understand exactly what I have to buy. may someone help? I understand I have to buy some hardware here locally but I need help for the rest of the kit. what about the software? thank you so much

for a full sheet capable machine (1200x2400) you need to go a lowrider, and given the 4 is out, you wouldn’t bother with a 3 anymore.
i’d suggest you start by reading through the docs here. there are links in there to everything that needs to be sourced. the parts can be sourced from the shop here. or depending where you’re located, they can be sourced locally from amazon, except for the control board and xz plates. the control board (jackpot 3 recommended) can be found at elecrow. the xz plates have a few options, but easiest (after buying directly from v1e or HaWeWi) would be to find someone locally that cut them for you.

Welcome! The LowRider is a great pick for full-sheet bas-relief work in XPS. One tip: plan for dust collection early — foam chips get everywhere, so a dust shoe is worth it from the start.
