I have had two occasions recently where the Z-steps have significantly reduced. I was surfacing my spoilboard and was jogging to get the bit to the surface and Z was moving maybe 10% of the distance it should have. I restarted the Jackpot and it was back to normal. This happened again yesterday and required a restart to fix. The only indication of a problems was I heard the stepper engage similar to when you first turn on the board and the steppers are enabled. Anyone see anything like this before? Once I restarted, it ran fine. I am running 3.7.14 with WebUI3.
Move to 3.7.16, and the webui file included in the v1 github. test again.
I haven’t used my MPCNC recently and came back to it this weekend. This same thing happened to me several times today and it was always when I inserted the SD card after loading files. I could hear the stepper engage, the same sound it makes when I turn it on.
It would be best if you started a new topic Stafford. This is a year old and a completely different firmware version. That is not a common or known issue so we will need to dive deeper.
