That warning is okay. I did update the actual configs, but yours is to be expected.
I am super excited that we might have a new stable version soon. I might get a chance to load up this config and run that QR code sign I have been wanting to do. That should be a good test. I will mess with it while it is running.
There are lots of fancy QR generators out there. I think I can wrangle a svg well enough to get some tool paths pretty quick. The key is can I do it inverted, Dark surface, light pockets.
Paint your board black before milling. Should be easy to achieve. Could even go as far as putting down some contact paper before milling if you want to paint the milled area white.
That’s awesome. Can’t wait to see it. I am hoping to try and copy your neon led sign with my logo soon. Mine is a little more complicated than yours though
While testing my pendant on my LR3 + jackpot I updated to 3.8.3, realized the webui wouldn’t connect/work on my phone or tablet (fine on PC) and downgraded to 3.8.0 and everything worked again. Grabbed the pre3 build and things seemed to at least connect.
Question I had was, is the Tablet view coming back? Or whatever the nice big screen was with buttons and direct entry of coordinates. I saw a link in the v3 UI but it was defunct? Sorry if this is posted somewhere, I lost track of which news to watch for updates.
No rush as I need to build my LR4 first
New pre-release. It sounds like if all goes well, this will be the last pre-release before an official release! It looks like there are some additional I2S related updates since pre-5.
Mitch’s comment on Discord: It fixes the crashes that have been causing problems recently, and has improved stepping code that runs at up to 250K steps/second, with no jitter and low latency on I2S. This is probably the last prerelease before we do an official release, so please test it thoroughly and report any problems.
So does this mean if I am running a primo with a laser on it, that I can now turn the speed up quite a bit more?
I remember when I first started it would start to jitter and fall on its face rastering at anything above 60 mm/s. I haven’t tried to go any faster since then, but if it can now handle more that would be a nice outcome as well!
I am probably not explaining it correctly at all. But when running laser I would have to keep the speed slower. So hopefully now I can dial it up a little bit more. I will do some testing when I get home and see what it can do
3.8.4-Pre6 is on my JL1. I drove it around manually from both the web UI and from a FluidDial pendant with no issues noted.
I need to update my LightBurn install so I’m working on that.
I also have a couple of saved .gcode files from back when I was initially retrofitting the JL1 with the Jackpot controller, so I may try those in a little while.
I can’t seem to break FluidNC so it’s definately better for me with Pre5 and now Pre6.
I think @Jonathjon is referring to some mention in the recent Pre- versions in which the rate of something was increased, and wondering if that would equate to faster motion of the steppers for raster imaging with laser.
Yea I got that, what I meant is I don’t understand the implication of these I2S changes. There were some highly technical details on Discord that were way over my head.
