Jackpot 3 heat sinks

I received 2 heat sinks but have no idea where they go. I’ve found pictures showing 5 or 6, but not 2? I need some help on this one.

Should be 2 groups of 3 heat sinks for 6 total. And they go on top of the stepper driver chips.

I hadn’t looked at the JP3 as much.

My information is that the TMC drivers are supposed to dissipate heat towards the PCB. The Polulo style drivers have the chip mounted on the pin side and a copper pad on top that we put the heat sink on. The Duet boards also put copper pads opposite the TMC drivers for heat sinks for this reason.

I.realize that this would have the heat sinks under the JP3 board since having components on both sides of the board is much more expensive, but to the best of my knowledge this is the way the package is designed to dissipate heat.

Of course any heat sink near the chip should help, but inside the plastic, the heat dissipating surface should be on the board side.

There’s no room in the box to put them on the bottom. The only place they can go is on the top. That’s how Ryan explained to me to install them.
