I've been away too long

OK, I’ve been away for a bit. Too long. Probably close to 2 years. Too many projects, health issues, and too little time. Time to get my Lowrider v3 out and start cutting again. What’s this? A v4 is now out? Crap!!

Why must you keep coming out with better systems. First, I upgraded from v2 to v3. Come back on and see that a v4 is out. (I’m sure it has been for a while too.) Now my immediate thought is that I will leave my v3 alone, but I know me. I am going to have to what v4 is all about. Crap. Why are you doing this to me??!!

A history of me. I have a Lowrider v3 table in my garage that can cut 7ftx4ft. I have not cut anything that large, but at some point, I might have to try it. I also want to see if it can handle 3d. I haven’t tried that yet. My cnc table folds up against the wall and only takes about 15 minutes to setup. I still am very new to the CNC world and will have to relearn everything since I haven’t done it in a while. I have too many projects, but not enough time. And… its good to be home again, at v1e.

Stick with the v3 for a little while, the LR4 is better but not huge for the occasional user. If you had a LR2…I would say it is a must.

Blow the dust off that thing and put it to work!!

Dust. Yeah.

My LR3 was soooo much better than my LR2, and I loved it. It even did trochoidal cutting of 1/4" aluminum. And Ryan is right, for occasional users, it can still be your beast. That said, after having upgraded to LR4, it is beefier and nice. I do still have one LR3 running for plasma though.

I’d be curious to see your table setup. There are a few like that but questions around here about saving space are pretty common.

I have never posted a build thread. I will do so, and provide pictures. (It may be a week or two because I’m working on replacing my exhaust of my truck right now.)

First off, welcome back!
I’ld also love to see more of your existing build.

LR4 is an improvement, but as other folks said keep on using your LR3.

Hello again, Phil! Are you coming to RMRRF again this year?

I am not sure yet. I’ll definitely stop by if I do.

I hope they are all behind you!

Unfortunately, no. Still have one issue that’s hanging around and has to watched. Luckily, I don’t have many issues from it.
