Ivan Miranda's latest

Today’s “gift” from Ivan Miranda - I like the exoskeleton cable management (and a few other things).

The dust collection is interesting, but quite possibly is not going to work at all when the cutting face is on the same side - it’s in the stew-pot though.

I love the way he can design and build enormously complicated things that mostly seem to work well, in extraordinary tiny timeframes. It’s easier I guess when you don’t have to worry about how a home-builder might think

And the resources he has at his disposal!!!

Do you know what they are, except obviously the ability to buy whatever he needs! I’m imagining a whole team of engineers and designers!

I really think he does everything on his own. I think he may be on the same as Ryan. I think he sells entire machines and also make many from youtube.

By resources I mean his shop and tools etc. Like in that video he just has those v slots available. That saw that cuts aluminum, etc. The tank he built and rode in also.

I have been watching him and almost built my first printer because of him.

Any saw can that can cut wood can cut aluminum. I used to cut aluminum on my miter saw all the time.

I still do! I can’t afford all that aluminium section though, I did like the hold down concept - just leave a bunch of loose nuts in the channel and locate them where you want to hold something down.

That’s what I have on my MPCNC, a couple of channels down the side with T-screws, clamps and nuts. Though for some small projects I end up clamping clamps…
