It’s the little things

So yes it’s good to have an (almost) 8x4 work area. But sometimes all you need is a little bit.

It’s coming to bbq season and when you’re looking you aren’t cooking so I like having a temp probe. And when I’m smoking k like to be able to track the temp over time to make sure it stays in the sweet spot. All of which is a long way to say, I made a little laser cut enclosure for a wireless temp tracker that connects to my home automation server.

First a little prototyping using CAD (cardbord aided design)

Running off a cheap 18650 power bank it’s been going 15hr so far which is plenty for a days smoking.
