I have a 1/8 in almun y plate, what do I use for insulation ?
I’ve seen people use rockwool, or cork tiles but don’t have any specific experience.
You don’t need anything. The only reason I use it is hopefully a little energy efficiency since I have so many printers running in a cold garage.
Come on… You live in California! Your garage never gets as cold as I have my house set for in the winter. 
Pffffft it was alllll the way down to like low 60’s last night. I almost had to put shoes and socks on. Poor printers working in such harsh conditions all the time.
