I bought a table saw (again...)

When I stumbled upon this saw on worldofmachines I liked it a lot but was looking for a reason not to buy it, so I messaged the seller, asking about the size and, unlucky me, it fit my workshop (barely). But it was still kind of expensive… A week later he dropped the prize by 500€, which kind of meant I hat to buy it. You know how that is. I very kindly asked my wife whether it was okay if I borrowed money from our shared account… She said if I quit whining about the table saw I had, I could.
I bought the saw, hired movers and had to wait for two weeks, but now it is here:

It’s incredibly chaotic because it has to be assembled again, as well as the shelves he gave me. There was so much stuff included that I can’t really say how much stuff I got. It was definitely one of the better deals I’ve made.
I will update this thread while I am unpacking boxes and let you share in my joy. :slightly_smiling_face:

Ah yes… Having to use a pallet jack to move a tool always makes for a fun day.

Have I mentioned having to buy a 2-ton gantry to get a tool off of a trailer? That was a fun day. It was also freezing that day.

The pallet jack was also included…

Congratulations sir!! Can’t wait to see it together and what you make from it!!

Since when do you make things with tools? I thought it was all about street credibility… :scream: You mean I gotta learn real woodworking now and can’t blame my tools any more? Shit, I should have thought that through…

My biggest issue for table saw is it’s a flat surface. So any time I want to use it I have to dig down through all the crap I’ve piled on top of it to find it lol. That and I don’t have any kind of outfeed table currently. But hope to remedy that soon

I’m sitting on a hotel bed next to someone you know, and showed her this sentence.

She groaned and made a little sigh and said:

“that sounds familiar”…

One of the great secrets to a long and happy marriage is to know how hard to push. When the nagging gets to be too much, I just push a little harder till she starts with the silent treatment! Then everyone wins!

When I still had a table saw, I used my lowrider table as the saw outfeed table.

Tiny bit of progress, feet and second plate installed (on my own, because I am a stubborn idiot):

Yeah my LowRider is built on top of cabinets and not moveable. And on the opposite side of my table saw lol

I am going to go get my dad’s old outfeed/router table and adapt it to work around my saw. Just been a slow process for me to get there and actually do it.

Would love a sliding top table saw though. They’re nice.

Leaving the blade up and turned on helps keep that from happening.

Especially the ones they sell in Germany.

I’ve found if you do it without telling them you only have to have the argument once!

I’d like a table saw like that. Alternativly I’d like to get rid of the terrible one I have and get a good track saw instead.

I’m still not ruling out a MPPS (mostly printed panel saw) at some far far future date.
