How to use laser module with Estlcam V12

Didn’t see any posts newer than 4-5 years so starting a new one. I built a CNC using Arduina Mega and GRBL and it works fine with Estlcam V12.

Just bought a 5W optical laser module from Aliexpress ( [LASER TREE 5W 10W 20W 30W Laser Head with Air Assist Module Air Pump Compressor Kit for CNC Laser Cutting Wood Engraver DIY Tool - AliExpress 1420](item 3256806125860389). Two questions:

  • how do I wire it into the Arduina Mega?
  • How do I make it work with Estlcam? Or do I need to use a dedicated laser software like LaserGRBL or LightBurn?

for estlcam, i have watched Christians videos with cc translate to english. It works well very few times I need to pause so I can read, he does not usually speak that fast.

it works above too. but he does speak a lil fast.

I translated the relevant parts of the web page and saved as a PDF.
On one page it shows the connections which are pretty simple, just power in and PWM pin from the Arduino board.
I hope that helps a bit.

I have made an English subtitle file that can be saved in the same directory as the video file.
The video file can be downloaded by using Atube Catcher (free software) Update to Latest Version – aTube Catcher Official Web Site

The subtitle file: (just unzip it into the video directory)
