How to setup and use Pins for control on the SKR 1.3 Boards

I am SOOOO Hesitant to touch the pins config file and/or start messing with trying to utilize pins because I have my Marlin 2.0 firmware compiling without any errors and it feels nice…

But I really want to control my spindle and I’d like to maybe use a touch plate and I just have no Idea where to start

I have not been able to find a youtube vid or even a web page where it’s explained how to start down this path with an SKR board.

ANY help here would be greatly appreciated. I am more then willing to RTFM, I just need to FIND the FM first.

I’m going to start tinkering but it would be nice if I could just get some guidance.

Thanks

https://docs.v1engineering.com/learn/coordinates/ This links to the doc that goes over setting up a z probe. I am also reviewing how toset A pin for laser control. Start with the z probe and maybe someone who has changed pins on the skr 1.3 will chime in.

The easiest way to turn a spindle on and off is to use the fan port. You then need a 12V compatible relay.

The touch plate should also already work with zmin. Try it with M119 first, and dont connect the (+). Just the (s) and (-).

Check out my github. I’m currently using this for my MPCNC with dual endstops. The servo pins are running a 5v relay board to turn my spindle on/off. Haven’t used my z probe yet but plan to just put it on the Z min pins.
