As you might already know because I did complain about it in the other thread, I got the plates delivered without the holes for the linear rails. I didn’t want to drill them by hand because those holes need to be precise, so I made a fixture trying to fix them. And lo and behold, it works! See for yourselves:
Heh, thanks. Normally I wear my hair open like the stereotypical weird dude from one of those famous books. Bible or something… also, my birthday is the 25th December…
Since I’d like to keep my scalp I put them in a ponytail in the shop though (and only ever there and when skateboarding)…
There’s a German joke: In den Kontaktanzeigen steht “Suche Mann mit Pferdeschwanz, Frisur egal.” The joke is that Pferdeschwanz means ponytail as well as horse … And the second sentence says the haircut doesn’t matter…
@vicious1 basically told me I had to do that video. So I did. I never planned on talking but I felt like I could just try it once. I didn’t think about what I wanted to say, so that’s really completely improvised (obviously I knew the steps and how I wanted to go about it, but that’s it). I think it helps that I am often speaking to students. I was not really happy with me mentioning thrice that EstlCAM remembers (eeeeeverythiiiing!!!), but eh, that’s showbiz, baby.
I thought it was good. You don’t have to stand in front of the camera and talk if you aren’t comfortable. Even just the voice from behind the camera can be helpful to explain something that isn’t obvious.
I was gonna say… Thanks for the EstlCAM controller ad…
I kinda prefer it this way…
Shows that you know what you are talking about. As long as it’s coherent, and somewhat efficient, I prefer to listen to someone genuinely explaining how to do something more than reading an obviously rehearsed script
Make some bullet points you know you want to cover, then just wing it lol
