I can quantify it now. About 3% stepover with Whiteside 1406 bit.
You can’t feel the ridges. You are just seeing the light reflect differently.
5%, you can feel.

Sometimes those ridges are from the wood fibers getting compressed in some areas more than others.
I doubt anyone will notice. Don’t point it out.
If they do, they will probably appreciate it.
Fixed it for you Heffe! LOL
I would appreciate it. There are some small local consignment shops that sell Colorado specific trinkets and I love it when I can tell how they were made. It is much less interesting to look at molded plastic for form lines and stuff.
So you are saying I am sanding too much?
Will leave the tool lines, got it
Hide the tool lines… Use a V-bit to engrave a cross-hatch pattern into the bottom
Kinda like knurling on a machined knob.
Have you tried wiping them with a wet cloth and giving it a quick (5min) sanding? I bet that would do most of the work for you. If you can’t feel them in the final product, I would definitely leave them in.
