How fast can i cut red oak with this bit on my router at 30k rpm

This is the longest bit i have, and I was wondering how fast i could cut red oak with it.

Impossible to say! It all totally depends on the specific machine, mill, router, cut routine and material. Try slow, and increase the speed during cutting (on lcd, in cncjs, ie)

Like @turbinbjorn said, start with conservative DOC and speeds. You can dial the speed up via the LCD (or other control methods I imagine) until things start to get dicey. Start with a DOC equal to the bit diameter and see what you get. Once you have a good setting there, cut the feed rate in half, double the DOC and repeat the process. It really is a lot of experimentation to get the right settings.

Im sorry, but what is DOC?

Depth of cut.

That looks like a bit for a cutout tool not a proper mill so it may be hard to use they tend to be long a flexible not to good
Just start at 1mm and 500mm/min work your way down and fast one at a time

I think it would be pretty slow unless you used a cnc or a router. Trying to cut wood by hand is really slow.. Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

Depends on how fast he can spins it with his fingers the arthritis might slow some down but he may be good

If he has a small enough table, he can just hold tight and run laps…

Hold the bit still and spin the board.

In all honesty. The number of flutes on the bit at that speed… The mpcnc won’t be able to move the router fast enough to keep that bit from burning up.

I tried to do something similar in pine using a similar bit. It made it a few inches before the bit lost its bite and tried to catch the board on fire.
