How essential is favicon.ico

I started uploading this file roughly when dinosaurs ruled the earth, and it’s still uploading. I’ve killed it and restarted it a few times and it’s still uploading. I deleted the one I had, downloaded it again, and it’s still hanging. I have everything else from the v2 folder loaded, but this file keeps hanging. It’s only 19kb, should take hours to load.

Is this a required file or is it something I can just give up on and still use the machine?

it’s not required.

Just gives you a pretty icon for your tab…

Seriously? That icon is the biggest file? By a lot

You can get a smaller one from here, I believe, if you like

Still, 19Kb should not take forever to upload. Something else must have been happening, causing an issue.

That was my thought. It was loading a 0b filename and that was it. Everything else looks like it loaded so I’ll put it back in and fire it up.

The entire file set takes about 3 minutes. I do it many many times a day. I actually loaded your board fresh right before I shipped it. Again, very surprised to hear you wiped and uploaded other files, also shocked you are having issues. That board 10000% has zero issues, that was taken off my machine just for you. At this point the issue is surely on your end, and I can only assume computer related.

It had the mpcnc files loaded, I’m using the lowrider. It wasn’t having issues, just needed to get the right axis going in the right directions. I initially put the v3 files on and it worked fine, just moving back to the v2 files now.

The only difference would be the config.yaml.

In the other thread, you said

Were you actually reflashing the firmware? or just uploading config files?

Just uploading the files, probably used the wrong words. Ryan spent a lot of time on me, trying to stop being a pain the ass.

We’re al here as a community to help each other.
Our frustration is that we have a fellow community member struggling, as we want you up and running.

It’s no trouble at all to keep trying to provide support.

How is that even possible?

As far as I know, all of Ryan’s production machines are LR family machines.

That was my thought as well.

He did a fresh install before sending it. My original order was when I was running the primo, I fairly recently built the lowrider. I figured he went off the order info, not what I’m running today. No biggie it was easy to figure out what was going on when I started cutting air. I loaded the v3 lowrider files and everything was fine.

I chain ran the crown and some other files without hooking up the steppers and all was good, once it started moving it was obvious and nothing to stress about.
