I have this tool that I want to use for finishing edges on a carve. EstlCAM won’t take a negative Edge Radius. When I hover over the “center offset”, the help shows a similar bit for rounding. Any clues how to program the tool parameters? In the photo, it doesn’t look like it, but the tip comes to a sharp point. There’s no offset.
That’s a profiling tool and all that Estlcam needs for that one is the Tip offset/profile height (3/16) and tool/profile diameter (3/8). Profile tools qualify as Chamfer tools and can be added to Hole and Part path properties with Chamfer width being the profile width (3/16)… Cut depth will be whatever Tip offset is set to (3/16). To help prevent overcuts I set things up so the profile is at least .1mm smaller than advertised (e.g. 4.65 and 9.3 dia).
