I’ve been building a version of the Zen XY with parts that I’ve had on hand for a number of years (not V1 design)
Everything seems to work fine now except the end stops. I have some optical end stop switches that work but my home-made design does not allow me to position them easily.
I also have micro switches which could easily be positioned. The problem is I can not figure out how to get these to work and my limited knowledge in electronics puts me in the position that I will probably do something stupid and fry controller.
I have the Bart Dring TMC2209 Pen Laser V2
-wiki.fluidnc.com/en/hardware/official/TMC2209_Pen_Laser_V2- ( sorry can’t post links)
The wiki under INPUTS mentions :
Inputs gpio.36 and gpio.39 ship setup for use with stallguard. They have resistors soldered on SJ1 and SJ2. If you want to use the terminal blocks, unsolder the resistors on SJ1 and SJ2.
Since this is a coreXY design I know that stallguard is not recommended.
I have tried simply wiring Common to signal and NO to ground as well as the other way around of Common to signal and NC to ground. But neither one works. (sample A in picture 1.)
I am hesitant in trying sample B because of the mention of resistors already in place.
This probably is a simple answer but I’d rather be safe than smoke my board. Thanks for any advice.
