The new verson has replacable ends( I probably replaced 2 pairs of the 1st version threw warrenty because they ripped). The company has been amazing with replacment pairs and honoring the warranty.
I cant vouch for the other styles but these are awesome!..I can also vouch for the corded verson. I use that one for my minidisc player.
