Staying true to Keiths original design seems to have paid dividends.

Looks absolutely fantastic. Be warned capsizing is a little scary! But you could add a buoyancy bag in back if you want to retain the “look”.

the design simplicity of the i550 appeals to me. i dream that some day i can take my friends out in one of those instead of my OzGoose (which is no sneeze to be fair). one could probably build an on deck winch or use boom and mainsheet to deal with i550 keel. this is a little smaller, weighted keel optional: https://dixdesign.com/DS15.htm

the rig and sail is such an essential part of what is appealing about the hadron – that is why i want to try and refine a better hull. i bought a two part contender mast from CST in australia and modified it, but after a painful time drilling holes I would advise ordering the spars from somewhere like carbonforte in CT (they quoted 1500 for mast + 500 boom) then mold/3D print and glue all the fittings on. halyard outside of mast. no holes at all. the UK cherub forum has great info on this. they use uni to wrap D-rings on for stay attachments.

anyway, you have some fantastic skills there. i wouldn’t sweat it too much. also at 6’ 6" i think the hadron is a pretty good fit. just taking a couple off pounds off hull will be fine.

Pull the trigger for the hadron plans… its a starting point to figure out which way i want to go with this.
I did hear back from Kieth and he was able to answer a few qieation, the big ones is min skipper weight is about 155lb to sail/right the H1 and max skipper/cargo just at 250lb

DS15 pretty cool, but you have to use their approved supplier to any cnc work, they wont send you cnc files, thats a big pass  . I prefer to cnc my own wood give me more controll and and way more cost affective.

1500 for a carbom mast with fitting is not bad, last mast i had made was almost the same size but was 1900. Two peice, inbeded hardware into the carbon and glued on sail rail. No boom. Shipping was the killer.
