Gwent board

I made this Gwent board (Strategy card game) for my adult son. It is cherry wood, ~24x24" when opened. The outside image is laser engraved. The inside was done on my MPCNC with a combination of 1/4" and 1/8" end mills and a 30deg V carve bit. My cut area was not quite big enough, so I had to break it up into quarters. The symbols are V-carved and then filled with colored epoxy. I had some issues with the routed pockets stair-stepping down deeper, so for the smaller pockets I had to make them deeper (~7mm) than the larger pockets (4mm). A little stressful, but luckily I caught it before it went really deep. This was also the last project for my MPCNC except it will cut my struts for a new LR4 build soon.

Awesome. I liked playing it in Witcher 3 and I also liked the standalone game (though they changed it up a lot regarding e.g. the lanes).

That looks super smooth, nice work!

Thanks. I couldn’t remember why this game sounded familiar.
