Been using my MPCNC with no problem. But yesterday I noticed that my X axis belts went slack. So I tightened them again. But now I have noticed that the belt has become deformed. Do I have the incorrect belt, and if not. What type of GT2 belt should I be getting?

Looks like it’s one with a steel core, they don’t work well for a CNC and break after a while. Use rubber only and you are good.
Your picture could be used as an example for the instructions as well why you shouldn’t use belts with a steel core.
