Game board is made from sheets of 1/2" PVC. It’s for a party coming up that will feature giant versions of toys/games from my childhood (Operation, Battleships, Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots, Vertibird and this one). The PVC is so easy to mill and work with shop tools, but the dust is nasty. As a bonus, I now have 84 six-inch PVC circles, so I’m trying to think of a use for those. Maybe a giant mobile…

The game board itself is about 62" X 48". The game pieces are cork coasters from Ikea that I had to trim down by about 1/8". You can see a corner of the incomplete Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots ring on the left side of the photo. That is 40" square, and the robots are about the size of an 18 month old. I’ve discovered during this year-long project that the physics of toys don’t scale up predictably.
It seems like every year @vicious1’s ingenuity lures me into at least one project where I bite off way more than I can chew. That’s not a bad thing.
