Fusion, Shapr3d or?

Hey all,
Wondering if others have tried other apps like Shapr3d or if Fusion is the best option for most people. The Fusion software feels pretty janky and slow on my M1 Macbook and Shapr3d if super fluid and easy to use. The only problem is it is not free… Any options you guys like and have found useful?

Thanks

I use Shapr3D on my iPad and I like it, it works great with the pen. On my computer I use different programs.

I’ve only played around with it for an hour or so, but was impressed with the performance of FreeCAD (coming from Fusion.) Worth a shot for free. I suspect there may be features I’d miss too much from Fusion, but so far so good!

I love Shapr for quick designs or getting the base model made up. I’ve designed then 3D printed an object like a remote holder within 6 hours. I haven’t learned enough in fusion to do it as efficiently as in Shapr, but I can still get er done. I’m currently using the education plan of fusion, so that’s free, compared to the $38 a month for Shapr. In the end, I still like using both, especially since Shapr doesn’t have any uses outside of CAD. Fusion has so much more with electronics design and CAM.
