Free Springer Textbooks

A technical book publisher just released a bunch of their books as E-Books for free downloads. Here is a link to a script that will download them all for you:

Here is a list of all of them by title/subject:

Looks like quite a few would be relevant to people here.

Thanks. I took a look through and here’s what I think a short list could be…
Handbook of the life course
The gastrointestinal system
Food analysis laboratory manual
Food chemistry
Food analysis

Sounds about right for this group?

There are some obviously relevant titles.

Handbook of Disaster Research (I know I’ve been described as a disaster about to happen (and probably in progress at this point))

Acquired Brain Injury (See above…although this might be a how-to manual?)

Seriously though…

Fundamentals of Power Electronics
Composite Materials
Fatigue of Structures and Materials
Fundamentals of Robotic Mechanical Systems
Structural Analysis
Additive Manufacturing Technologies
Fundamentals of Structural Engineering

could all have relevant content…I’ll wager it’s mostly way over my (dain bramaged) head though…

My BIL could use the Fundamentals of Structural Engineering book.

He built my sister a monitor stand for at work. The sides of the stand extend all the way to the top and the shelf is held on by a butt joint with screws coming in from the side. All the stress is being held in sheer on 6 screws. Probably enough for her two LCDs, but I’d never use it as a stool

German titles just have so much gravitas: Maschinenbau

This one looks great for thinking through projects.
