For LowRider v4: End Cap for 1" EMT (29.5 outside diameter)

OK, I made this revision of my end caps for 1" EMT, and I’m currently printing to try it out. 11 min print for me.

Note: For LR4 makers outside the US, supported tubing sizes include 30mm and 32mm outside diameter. For using this print with those sizes, scale it in your slicer.

For 30mm OD tubing, try scaling this print at 101.69%.
For 32mm OD tubing, try scaling this print at 108.47%

OK, I printed it, and tested in both “non bur” EMT, and “de-burred / blunted bur” EMT.

It fit snug and removable from the EMT with no bur, and tight and difficult to remove from the EMT that had a bur, but it worked in both.

I know this might not be the right thread to ask this in, but I can’t find a straight answer anywhere. Where do you get a 32mm OD EMT? Lowel’s and Home Depot have 1" 1/4 inside diameter EMT that’s 38.2 OD and it blows/breaks the braces apart. They do both carry a 32mm OD ridged pipe that fits as Ryan’s design intended but it’s almost 3x the weight too. Do I use that? It’s quite a bit heaver. I’ve already printed all the braces for the 32mm OD EMT conduit too… Thanks

In the USA, the target EMT for use on a LowRider is 1 inch EMT, which has an external diameter of 29.5 mm. EMT is sold based on its inside diameter, but for our CNC use we’re concerned about the outside diameter. 30 mm and 32 mm are options provided for overseas where our American style 1 inch EMT is not available — as other markets do things differently. The size to get is 1” not 1.25”

I am using 32mm pipes with 3mm walls, they are also quite heavy and not a problem for the motors, so you could try with those heavy ones.

I printed these off for my build. Thanks for uploading the files.
