Folding table et storage (WIP)

My outdoor setup was okay for ideal conditions but when cold or hot or wet, it’s not feasible to leave it. It hasn’t really had an indoor home and I am constrained on space.

This is the new plan: 2 foot by 4 foot table top that folds into a 24 x 20 inch footprint.

Two long, detachable rails about 4 feet long or so will give a Y axis of about 3 feet. Two feet of that range will be supported by the table top and the rest of the range will be over open space. This will allow ends of boards for joinery or drop table surface for extra height, without cutting a hole in the table top.

So overall, about 2 feet of X axis workspace is reachable by both tools and 3 feet of Y axis, that packs down into 24" x 20".

I can roll it into my office for stuff like soldering or firmware, and set up temporarily in the garage or outside for noisy and messy work.

There is a lot still to do but it’s far enough along to show something.
